Throughout the history of Rapa Nui, many mother women have left their mark on the island. One of them is the legendary Queen Ana Kai Tangata, who ruled Rapa Nui during the 17th century. Recognized for her wisdom and compassion, Queen Ana Kai Tangata fostered peace and prosperity during her reign. Another notable figure is the anthropologist and cultural activist Margarita Ika Mahana, who dedicated her life to preserving the cultural heritage and traditions of Rapa Nui.<\/span><\/p>\n
